The Aquarium of the Pacific, a non profit institution, celebrates the planet’s
largest and most diverse body of water: the Pacific Ocean. Featuring 19 major
habitats and 32 focus exhibits, the Aquarium of the Pacific is a world-class
aquarium, exploring the waters of Southern California and Baja, the Northern
Pacific, and the Tropical Pacific.
Research
The Marine Conservation Research Institute (MCRI) is part of the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach, California. The mission of MCRI is "to expand and enhance the body of scientific knowledge relating to the Pacific Ocean, its inhabitants, and ecosystems and to preserve this valuable resource for future generations through research, conservation, and education focused around the Aquarium of the Pacific."
